ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Music Director, you'll lead one of our local Adult Glee Clubs through weekly rehearsals, performances and community experiences.
You'll teach contemporary/pop/rock repertoire written and arranged for Adult Glee Club, help members grow as singers, and prepare them for performances throughout the year.
Most importantly, you'll foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels encouraged, challenged and inspired.

What you'll do
- Lead a 90-minute rehearsal each week during the 10-week school term (generally 7:00 -8:30pm)
- Teach approximately 6 - 8 songs each term
- Prepare your Glee Club for a possible upcoming gigs (ie. performances and community events)
- Attend End of Month Socials and help build club culture
- Collaborate with our Artistic Leadership Team and fellow Music Directors
Additional paid rehearsals, festivals, corporate events and special performances are opportunities that are available throughout the year.

Essential Skills
We're looking for musicians who have:
- Strong musicianship and confident music-reading skills
- The ability to comfortably accompany rehearsals on piano and/or guitar
- Experience teaching harmonies and leading vocal groups
- Excellent communication, organisation and people skills
- Warmth, professionalism and emotional intelligence
Desirable
- Choir or Ensemble directing experience
- Vocal coaching or classroom music teaching
- Music arranging or harmony writing
- Community music or workshop facilitation
FEES & COMMITMENT
Adult Glee Club follows the Australian school-term calendar, with four 10-week terms each year.
Music Directors are engaged on a fixed fee per rehearsal (details provided during the application process), with additional paid opportunities available throughout the year.
We're looking for people who can commit across each school term and become an important part of their local Glee Club community.
